A full day tour with some of the best things to see and do in Oaxaca.
During the whole trip you will be accompanied by an English Speaking guide that will attend to all your questions and provide any help you might need, from one point to the other we will be in a comfortable van with aircon and enough space for a comfortable trip.
The trip begins and ends in the Zocalo but if you are staying in a hotel in the city center we can arrange a hotel pickup.
First we go and visit Tule, a tiny town that is home to the biggest Tree in the world that already turn 2000 years of age. Our guides will tell you every detail you would like to know of this wonderful tree from its biology to its history.
We will visit the artisanal rug workshop, where each peace of cloth they make is done in the same way as it was made for the last 600 years.
Ever wanted to know how the real Mezcal is done? well here is you chance to know, we will take you to one of the most important distilleries in Oaxaca where time seems to have stoped given that all the methods of distillery are as old as the city where they stand, and if you want of course you can taste the many varieties and flavours that you will be given absolutely free!
Then we will go to Mitla, an ancient Zapotec city that was the religious center of that culture, we will enter the palace and even the tombs, our guides will give you the explanation of the architectural landmark, the material and the process of construction and of course, the religious ceremonies.
And to finish a perfect day, after a long tour under the sun of Oaxaca we will take you to relax and refresh in the completely natural pools of Hierve el Agua that are located on top of a petrified waterfall. There you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the mountains and a unique natural wonder, Don’t forget your bathing suit and a towel!
